Travellin’ Brothers

The greatest bluesmen and the greatest blues bands, throughout history, have had a close relationship with river banks and deltas, in the case of Travellin’ Brothers this is not an exception. Formed at the end of 2003 by the banks of the Bilbao estuary, in the Bizkaia town of Leioa, they receive great inspiration from the Nervión River.

Six friends, six brothers put the band together. This family union is one of his great virtues, easily palpable in his attitude on stage. Travellin’ Brothers have a great musical background, in these 20 years their activity has been frenetic and in continuous rise and commitment to self-improvement.

Chameleonic like few others, they are capable of playing in small clubs and venues or in the largest festivals. As an example, his continuous participation in Cazorla Blues Festival, Hondarribia Blues Festival, Bejar, Cáceres, Barcelona, Yeclajazz in Murcia, Blues Sur Seine in Paris or Cahors Blues Festival, also in France, the list is endless.

Throughout these performances they have had the luck and honor of sharing the stage with true legends of the genre such as Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, John Mayall, Canned Heat, Ike Turner, Robben Ford, Susan Tedeschi, Junior Watson, Johnny Winter, Carey Bell, etc.

Winners of the European Blues Challenge 2015 in Brussels (best European band), finalists of the International Blues Challenge 2015 in Memphis (the 8 best bands in the world), ten albums and more than 1,200 concerts make Travellin’ Brothers one of the most respected members of the European blues scene. After touring more than 15 countries, including visiting China for the first time, this year they celebrate their 20th anniversary with a very special tour.
